4000 posts vacant in Meghalaya Police: Prestone Tynsong

Shillong, April 14: Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Home Prestone Tynsong held a review meeting of the police department on Friday.

He said that the most challenging is the problem of lack of manpower and around 3500 to 4000 posts are vacant. He said that the personal interviews to fill up around 1000 post is on and once done they will immediately start the process of recruitment and fill up the vacancies by this year itself.

He said this would improve policing and lift the morale of the police force.
