Slight increase in Covid cases in India; 9629 cases reported

Shillong, April 26: The number of daily Covid-19 cases in India increased, with 9,629 new infections reported in the past 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry.

The total death toll increased to 5,31,398 according to figures from the Health Ministry, with 29 fatalities reported on Tuesday. Of the 29 deaths, six were reported in Delhi, three in Maharashtra, three in Rajasthan, two in Haryana, two in Uttar Pradesh, and one in each of Odisha, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh. Kerala reconciled ten fatalities.

There were 61,013 Corona cases that were still active. 0.14% of the total Covid-19 cases are part of the active caseload.

The number of people who have recovered from the virus now stands at 4,43,23,045, according to the Health Ministry, who reported that 11,967 people did so in the past 24 hours.

The national case fatality rate was 1.18%, whereas the national recovery rate was 98.68%.
