7 students from St Edmund’s feature in HSSLC top-10 list

SHILLONG, May 26: St Edmund’s Higher Secondary School has displayed an exemplary performance in the 2023 HSSLC examination (Arts) as seven students from the school have featured in the top-ten list of merit students. The school has also recorded 100 per cent pass percentage.
The students from the school who featured in the HSSLC (Arts) top-ten list of merit students include Avelyne Francisca Khriam (second position), Arman Suchiang (fifth position), Talinungsang Imchen, Ankita Das and Ankita Kar (sixth position), Kelhousanyu Kuotsu (ninth position), and Riwaka Tangsong (tenth position).
“Many of our students have got ranks within the first ten. Other students have stood first, some second and we are proud of all these students who have made us proud today,” said school principal, Agnelo Benjamin, attributing the school’s success to both the students and the teachers.
Meanwhile, an elated Khriam, who secured the second position, said, “I am not sure if I was expecting this position but I am grateful for it. Now I am looking forward to go for computer applications and later on I will decide on the area I would like to study more.”
“I think hard work pays off; I hope they realise that if we put our heart in what we do, we will definitely achieve what we wish to,” she said in a message to her juniors.
Tangsong, the tenth position holder, who aspires to be an IAS officer, said, “I am really grateful and happy to see that I could bring happiness and smile on the face of my family.”
