Shillong, June 1: The Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express train caught fire once more in the early hours of Thursday at Kannur Railway Station. It was earlier targeted by arsonists in April. The incident took place as the train was stopped at the station.

The fire completely destroyed one railway coach. However, there were no casualties noted.

After receiving a call regarding the event, the fire department arrived and extinguished the flames.

The train’s other coaches were split off from the carriage that was on fire.

The police were looking through the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) CCTV footage when they noticed an unknown person getting into the train, which is what led to the fire incident.
