Shillong, July 6: Following the Badri-Kedarnath Temple Committee’s (BKTC) firm stance on a viral proposal video filmed at the shrine, Uttarakhand Police has stated that “action will be taken” against those shooting videos and reels inside the Kedarnath temple.

Expressing disapproval of the proposal video, the BKTC wrote a letter to the police, urging them to take action against individuals filming videos on the temple premises. The committee emphasized that such videos have a negative impact on the religious sanctity of the location.

While the proposal video was not specifically mentioned in the BKTC’s letter, it requested the police to maintain strict vigilance over individuals making videos on the premises as it hurts the religious sentiments of devotees.

In the viral video, a female YouTuber is seen walking with her boyfriend near the Kedarnath temple. She subsequently kneels down and proposes to her boyfriend with a ring. Passersby were surprised by the proposal, and some recorded the moment on their phones.
