Shillong, July 18: On Tuesday, the Mumbai Police received a threatening call indicating a potential attack akin to the infamous Mumbai attacks. The caller specifically mentioned targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

As per India Today, a case under section 509 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was swiftly registered against the unidentified caller by the Mumbai Police in response to the serious threat.

This recent threat call comes after an incident on July 12, where the Mumbai Police received another call from an anonymous individual, warning of a 26/11-like terror attack. The call was connected to Seema Haider, a woman who had escaped from Pakistan with her four children and entered India illegally through Nepal. The caller demanded her return to Pakistan, threatening an attack if she didn’t comply.

Following the July 12 call, the Mumbai Police treated it as a hoax and launched an investigation into the matter to ensure the safety and security of the region.

Authorities are actively working to trace and apprehend the culprits behind both threat calls and are taking necessary measures to safeguard the public and prominent figures in light of these threats.
