Topcem management apolozises on behalf of ‘misbehaving’ employees

Khliehriat, August 26: Meghalaya Cement Limited (Topcem) management has apologized for the vulgar words uttered by their employees during the protest staged by local people during the public hearing conducted on August 24.

As police were pushing back the protester as per instruction of the company’s administrative officer, two of their employees used some unparliamentary words directed at the members of the protesting public.

Meghalaya Cement Limited (Topcem) management has taken the strong view of the above incident and has immediately suspended the said employees. Topcem Management has once again apologizes to the local people due to the behaviour of their employees.

“We assure at large that the Meghalaya Cement Limited, is committed to promote peace, harmony and conducive environment for the Employees and nearby villagers associated with our Company and also assure that no such untoward incident will happen in future”, the company stated.
