Meghalaya Ranji player assaulted in city

SHILLONG, Oct 5: Shillong-based Ranji cricketer, Lakhan Singh was assaulted by a group of miscreants here late Wednesday night.
Singh, a resident of Harijan Colony, filed an FIR Cantonment Beat House stating that the incident happened at around 9.20 pm near Anjalee Cinema Hall when he was on his way to Jhalupara from his residence.
According to the FIR, a Maruti Celerio car (ML05 AA 0381) overtook his scooty and asked him to stop after which some miscreants came out of the car and assaulted him.
He suffered injuries on his nose and face.
