JOWAI, Oct 7: The Jaintia Students Union (JSU) has flagged the alleged exploitation of truckers by cement plants in East Jaintia Hills, while extending support to the aggrieved Jaintia Hills Truck Owner Association (JHTOA), who have protested the actions of the factories.
According to the JSU, the cement plants have deprived local truckers of participating in loading freight from their factories, which has peeved the community.
The JHOTA, on the other hand, warned action against the companies which are unable to take corrective actions.
