Shillong, October 25: In a tragic incident on the outskirts of Luhari village in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district, a 25-year-old Muslim man lost his life after being assaulted by an angry mob.

As per Indian Express, the incident occurred late Tuesday night following a bike accident in which the vehicle collided with a man who was part of a Dussehra revelry group.

With tensions escalating in the village, additional police forces were deployed to prevent further disturbances.

According to the police, the incident unfolded around 7:30 pm on Tuesday when Irshad Mohammad was on his way back to Luhari village on his bike. As he passed the Ramlila ground on the village’s outskirts, his bike accidentally struck a man who had come with his friends to participate in the Dussehra festivities.

What began as a minor accident escalated into a verbal confrontation that eventually turned violent. A group of individuals attacked Mohammad, causing him to fall and hit his head on a stone. He was quickly transported to the local hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

Upon learning of Mohammad’s tragic demise, his family and local residents rushed to the scene, leading to clashes between the two groups. Village elders contacted the Bahadurgarh police station, and law enforcement used mild force to disperse members from both communities.
