Shillong, October 30: The video in which an elderly man engaging in inappropriate behavior towards a young woman at a Bengaluru mall has gone viral on social media, prompting a police investigation.

As per IANS, the footage clearly depicts the accused man intentionally touching the woman’s back within the bustling gaming zone of the mall. Subsequently, the video captures the man relocating after the misconduct, while the victim refrains from raising objections.

This incriminating video surfaced on an Instagram account and quickly gained traction on social media platforms. The uploader identified the incident as transpiring at the renowned Lulu Mall, stating, “Recorded this incident today evening around 6.30 p.m. in Lulu Mall Funtura Bengaluru. This man in the video was doing such a thing to the random women and girls around here.

“Initially, when I observed his actions in a densely populated area, I became suspicious and began recording. Later, I discovered this footage. I reported the incident to the mall’s security. While we attempted to locate the man, he eluded us. Consequently, I informed the mall management and security, who assured us they would make efforts to identify the individual and take appropriate action. Shame on such individuals,” the whistleblower expressed.

The jurisdictional Magadi Road police have taken custody of the video and initiated a preliminary inquiry. The incident has sparked a significant public outcry and raised concerns about the safety of women in public spaces.
