SHILLONG, Nov 15: The fourth edition of the music and food festival, Hills Festival – ‘Spirit of Meghalaya’ is set to make a comeback this year on December 1 and 2 with known music names in the country like Nikhil D’Souza and Anoushka Maskey headlining the musical performances.
The homegrown music festival is set to transpire at the picturesque location of Umbir village against the backdrop of Umiam Lake and is being organised by ‘HYPE – Helping Young People Entertainment’ in association with Meghalaya Tourism and aims to embody the ‘Spirit of Meghalaya.’
Other musical artists who are set to perform include Blot! and Tsumyoki.
This year, the festival aims to explore the heart of Jaintia cuisine via ‘The Forage Aisle’, which will be hosting culinary experts from Jaintia Hills and will delve into different ingredients indigenous to the place.
The festival also offers camping tents to allow them to spend two evenings with soul-stirring music, followed by star-gazing.
