Govt offices reopen, attendance low

SHILLONG, Jan 2: All state government offices reopened on Tuesday with low attendance on the first working day of the year.
Government offices reopened after a 10-day holiday. Offices in the state have been closed since December 23 for Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.
However, on the first day of office, the attendance was quite low and the office was almost empty in the second half of the day. It was said that many are still in the festive mood and few ministers attended office on Tuesday.
