House reduced to ashes in SWKHD

Mawkyrwat, Jan 4: A house in Rangblang Sohsyniang village, South West Khasi Hills was reduced to ashes and an estimated Rs 2 lakh damaged was reported on Thursday.
The house belonged to Merilinda Thyrniang (39) of Rangblang Sohsyniang village.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on the midnight of Thursday.
No casualty was reported during the incident as no one was present in the house when the fire broke out, but all belongings and the house reduced to ashes in the inferno. Villagers rushed to the spot to help distinguish the fire.
