Shillong, March 3: In view of the upcoming annual KJP Synod Sepngi at Laitryngew from March 7-10, the church has appealed to the public to abide by the traffic arrangement made by the traffic police and the volunteers to avoid any disruption.
According to a statement from the Presbyterian Church Laitryngew, it stated that no vehicles will be allowed to park along the stretch of the road from Umtyngngar to Laitryngew.
Drivers are requested to not drive at high speed and to avoid overtaking or overloading, they are also asked to paste their mobile numbers on the vehicle so that the volunteers can contact them when the need arises. Arrangements for parking of vehicles have been made since there is enough space on the ground where the services will be held.

The statement said that vehicles reaching before 10 a.m. can enter the road leading to the village and move to the parking place which has been arranged along the road leading to Mawdohnud (Laitmawsiang).
At the same time, the church also appeals to the faithful to properly throw match sticks or cigarette buds to prevent any fire incident.
“We would also appeal that they should not litter along the roadside and parking space”.
