Top leaders likely to campaign for LS polls in state

SHILLONG, April 4: Some of the country’s top leaders are anticipated to campaign in Meghalaya for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The Congress party has submitted a list to the Election Commission of India, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and others as star campaigners.
Similarly, the BJP has submitted a list featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi, JP Nadda, Amit Shah, Himanta Biswa Sarma, among others.
However, the BJP is not nominating a candidate for any parliamentary seats this time.
Additionally, the AITC’s list of star campaigners for Meghalaya includes Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, Mukul Sangma, and others.
