6 in ANTF net; drugs recovered

SHILLONG, July 4: The Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) of East Khasi Hills Police on Thursday apprehended six persons and confiscated contraband items from their possession.
According to police, the six people were apprehended at Mawiong under Mawlai Police Station and have been identified as Shanborlang Khongwir (32), Bringson Kharumlong (35), Kitboklang Nongsiej (29), Return Dhar (40), Wanlambok Lyngdoh (25) and Richard Marbaniang (24).
The items recovered from their possession include five boxes of heroin weighing 64.1 grams, seven mobile phones, Rs 1.29 lakh in cash, a four-wheeler (ML 05 E 8363) and a two-wheeler (ML05AC9261).
