Poor family in WJH gets house as donation

JOWAI, Aug 1: An underprivileged family in Mihmyntdu village, West Jaintia Hills, was donated a house by the family of Hannelore and Dieter from Germany. The house was handed over to the family by the Jaintia Hills Development Society (JHDS) with the support of KHUBLEI Germany. The house was built and maintained by the JHDS, which is one of the NGOs in Jaintia Hills region.
The beneficiary is Lumbiang Sana, who has five children. The JHDS also donated other household materials.
Before the handover ceremony, a short programme was conducted by Denis Kurkalang, cordinator of JHDS in the presence of Father Manbha Pakem, Director of JHDS, and other leaders of the Mihmyntdu Catholic Church.
Before cutting the ribbon, a prayer was offered by Father Hilarius Lamare, Parish Priest of Jowai Parish, accompanied by Father Simeon Sungoh, who is a governing body member of JHDS.
