MCA announces squad for U-19 men’s Vinoo Mankad Trophy

Shillong, Sep 22: The Meghalaya Cricket Association has announced its squad of players for the U-19 men’s Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2024-25, a 50-overs one day tournament.
The MCA’s junior men’s selection committee has also selected four standbys. The Meghalaya contingent is currently undergoing a rigorous preparatory camp in Jagiroad, Assam and will depart for their Vinoo Mankad Trophy matches, which will all be held in Cuttack, on October 1.
Meghalaya have been drawn in a tough group with Baroda, Bengal, Assam, Karnataka and Maharashtra.Many of the U-19 players who represented Meghalaya last season have been retained for 2024-25, while some of the stars of last year’s U-16 team, such as hugely successful bowlers Apandanka R Marak and Gaurav Jyoti Thakuria, have been included in this older age group.
