NIFT to get its permanent campus on October 25

SHILLONG, Oct 18: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Shillong, will inaugurate its permanent campus on October 25.
According to a statement here, the inaugural programme will be attended by Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh and Union Minister of State (MoS) for Textiles Pabitra Margherita as the chief guest and the guest of honour respectively.
Others who will attend the programme include Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, NIFT Shillong Director Shankar K. Jha and NIFT Director General Tanu Kashyap.
“This significant occasion will also mark the 12th convocation ceremony for the 123 graduating class of 2024,” the statement here said.
