Tura, Jan 10: A section of the parents of the Janapriya Higher Secondary School, Bholarbhita in west Garo Hills have opposed the advertisement for vacant post issued by the school, while at the same time alleging that the special managing committee in place at the school, was formed fraudulently by vested interest individuals.

In their complaint to the DSEO in the district, the parents claimed that the SMC was formed not for the interest of the school but for their own monetary gains by illegally filling up the vacant posts. The parents went on to allege that the school authority has been asking huge amounts of money from aspiring candidates in return for their appointment.

Pointing out that the school as well as its students would suffer if the authority is allowed to continue, the parents urged the DSEO to investigate the matter as well as convene a general meeting for the formation of a regular SMC.
