Agha prioritises CT glory over India clash

New Delhi, Feb 16: Pakistan vice-captain Salman Ali Agha has stressed that winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is more significant than just securing a victory against arch-rivals India. Confident in his team’s potential, he believes Pakistan has what it takes to claim the title.
Speaking on the PCB Podcast, Salman expressed his excitement about Pakistan hosting the tournament, calling it a special moment for the nation. “Being from Lahore, lifting the trophy in my hometown would be a dream come true. The Pakistan team has the potential to win it,” he said.Pakistan will kick off their campaign against New Zealand on February 19 before facing India on February 23 in Dubai. Acknowledging the intensity of the India-Pakistan rivalry, Salman insisted that the team’s focus remains on the bigger prize.
“The atmosphere during an India-Pakistan match is always unique. It’s the biggest game in the world, but. Winning the Champions Trophy is far more important,” he remarked. (ANI)
