Students feted for excellence

SHILLONG, June 22: Vivekananda Sangha hosted a felicitation ceremony on Sunday evening to honour students for their academic achievements in 2025. The event was attended by proud parents, distinguished guests, and high-performing students.
Students were welcomed with Uttoriyo and honoured with certificates and cash awards for their academic excellence. Among the awardees was Ranchita Paul, who secured the 6th rank in the Class 12 board exams. Others recognised included Priyanshu Dey (BSF Senior Secondary School), Pranjal Das (Kendriya Vidyalaya, Happy Valley), Tanushri Acharjee (Army Public School), Jagannath Roy (Shillong Jail Road Boys’ Higher Secondary School), Diptanshu Dey, Manav Deb (BK Bajoria School), and Chitra Malik, Sneha Das, and Anusmita Deb (St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School).
Notable guests included Prosenjit Dey, secretary of JRWC; Jitendra Kumar Das of OBRCWC; and Keith Pariat, Trustee-in-Charge of Earle Holiday Home, Shillong. They were felicitated with Uttoriyo by Sangha President Anango Mohan Paul and General Secretary Paritosh Das.
In their addresses, the guests commended the students’ dedication and encouraged them to remain focused on their aspirations. The programme concluded with the presentation of mementoes by Keith Pariat.
