Yogasana trainer camp concludes

Shillong, July 28:The eight-day-long 1st State Level Master Trainer Training Programme 2025–26 concluded with a valedictory ceremony at the Youth Hostel premises in Shillong.
The event was organised by the Meghalaya Yogasana Sports Association, with support from Yogasana Bharat and the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya.The training programme forms a key part of the state’s athlete and coaching development initiatives in the run-up to the 39th National Games in 2027. A total of 25 trainees representing six districts across Meghalaya took part in the intensive sessions aimed at elevating the standards of Yogasana sport in the state.
The programme marks a significant step towards building a robust pool of certified trainers who will play a crucial role in preparing athletes for national-level competition
As the curtains fell on the training programme, organisers expressed hope that this initiative would ignite a wider interest in Yogasana as a competitive sport across Meghalaya.
