Businessman’s house looted in Jorabat

NONGPOH, Aug 25: A group of armed criminals allegedly broke into the office of a brick transporter in Jorabat, Assam, at around 2 am on Monday.
The criminals threatened security guards, assaulted the manager and broke into the businessman’s residence, where they broke open almirahs and stole valuables, including gold ornaments and cash.
The Assam Police rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation, with a case registered and a manhunt launched to apprehend those involved in the crime.
