SHILLONG, Jan 14: Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Wailadmiki Shylla on Wednesday said infrastructure work is progressing well for the 39th National Games, which Meghalaya will host next year.
Following an inspection of project sites in Shillong, Shylla expressed confidence that all facilities will be completed before the Games begin. He noted that while various departments are involved in the preparations, the state government will bear the total cost of hosting the event.
However, the minister added that it is still too early to estimate the exact expenditure required for the Games.
