Vande Bharat Express train between Delhi and Dehradun flagged off

Shillong, May 25: Vande Bharat Express between Delhi and Dehradun was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In Uttarakhand, this is the first time that Vande Bharat has been offered.

“Uttarakhand’s connectivity is all set to get a big boost. At 11 AM today, I will be flagging off the Vande Bharat Express between Delhi and Dehradun. Making the occasion even more special is the feat of 100% electrification of Uttarakhand’s rail tracks. Do join the programme,” PM tweeted.

According to the railways’ website, the regular run in the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express would begin on May 29.

302 kilometres will be travelled by the train in 4 hours, 45 minutes. Except for Wednesday, the train will run every day of the week.

A chair car with air conditioning will cost Rs 1,065 while an executive car will cost Rs 1,890. Eight coaches will make up the railway, providing passengers with comfortable transportation alternatives.

At 17:50, the train carrying passengers to Dehradun will leave from the Anand Vihar station and arrive there at 22:35. The train will stop in Roorkee, Haridwar, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, and Meerut City.
