SHILLONG, Feb 28: The Congress slammed South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai for being a mute spectator during the budget session of the State Legislative Assembly.
The statement came from Opposition Leader, Ronnie V Lyngdoh a day after Shullai said that the people of the Shillong are regretting as Vincent Pala wasted his five years in Parliament by eating nuts.
‘Sanbor’s claims are hollow as he does not follow the proceedings of the house’, Lyngdoh said.
“How many times has Shullai attended and spoken in the assembly,” the Congress leader questioned while adding that Pala has done a lot of work but does not seek publicity like other politicians. Lyngdoh further stated that many projects in Shillong are due to the efforts of Pala.
Taking a dig at Shullai, the Congress leader said that the BJP MLA hardly attends or speaks in the house, ‘he should have stayed back home.”
