Major reshuffle of judicial officers in State

Shillong: The Megha-laya High Court has effected a major reshuffle transferring 19 judicial officers from their present postings, an official said on Monday. The transfer and posting of judicial officers under the Meghalaya Judicial Service came after a resolution of the Full Court meeting held on June 26. Among those affected in the reshuffle include District and Sessions Judge, Shillong B.Giri who has been transferred as District and Sessions Judge, Jowai in West Jaintia Hills district. A Ripnar has been appointed as the new District and Sessions Judge, Shillong. M B Challam, earlier the Adhoc Additional District and Sessions Judge as well as Fast Track Court Judge, Shillong has been relieved off the additional responsibility and has been appointed as only the judge of Fast Track Court, Shillong.

B Joshi has been appointed as the new Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Shillong while C Dkhar who was the CJM and Assistant District Judge, Shillong has been appointed as the CJM and Assistant District Judge, Jowai.

While D R Kharbteng was appointed as Assistant District and Sessions Judge, Shillong, R.M Kharsyntiew who was the Judicial Magistrate, Shillong and R Rymbai have been both appointed as Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Shillong.

K M L Nongbri who held as Judicial Magistrate, Shillong has been now appointed as Munsiff, Shillong.

F S Sangma of Munsiff, Shillong has been appointed as Judicial Magistrate and Munsiff, Jowai even as E.Shabong the Judicial Magistrate Shillong, has been appointed as Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Jowai.

E Kharumnuid has been appointed as District and Sessions Judge, Tura and M Skhemlon is now the Chief Judicial Magistrate and Assistant District and Sessions Judge, Tura.

Similarly, I Rymbai who was the Judicial Magistrate, Shillong has been appointed as Judicial Magistrate and Munsiff, Tura while C G Momin and D.S Marbaniang have been both appointed as Judicial Magistrate.

In Ri-Bhoi district, B Khyiem has been appointed as the Chief Judicial Magistrate and Assistant District and Sessions Judge, Nongpoh A M Pariat who was the Judicial Magistrate, Shillong is now the Judicial Magistrate and Munsiff, Nongpoh M K Lyngdoh was also appointed as Judicial Magistrate, Nongpoh.
