Tenancy Bill meet

SHILLONG: The first meeting of the ministerial committee to deliberate on the draft Meghalaya Regulation of Landlords and Verification of Tenants Bill will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in the state Central Library.

Cabinet Minister Prestone Tynsong, who is the chairman of the committee,on Tuesday said that the committee would give a presentation on the Bill before a group of students.

“We would like to hear their opinions and suggestions on the Bill,” Tynsong said

The Committee would organise similar meetings in other districts of the state to inform public about the Bill.

Wednesday’s meeting would be exclusively attended by college students. According to Tynsong, there will be a series of meeting on the issue and Government would invite intellectuals, traditional leaders for discussion.
