Six flee from Juvenile Home

SHILLONG: As many as six juvenile inmates aged between 14 and 17 years ran away from Juvenile Home, Cleave Colony, Laitumkhrah, Shillong on Friday evening.

According to police, investigation is on to ascertain the reasons behind the fleeing of the juveniles.

There is a spurt in criminal cases involving juveniles in parts of the state and they are often sent to juvenile home to reform their character.

Police will examine all aspects including providing more security to the juvenile home in the wake of the escape of the juveniles.
