SHILLONG: In a freak incident, an operator of Meghalaya Police Radio Organization (MPRO), while assisting the mobile patrol party, accidentally fired from a carbine causing injury to himself.
According to police, on Saturday at around 1 AM, the MPRO operator identified as Swearleyborn Marwein of Dangar outpost, while assisting the mobile patrolling party in depositing arms, accidentally fired from a carbine. As a result, he sustained bullet injuries in his leg and was removed to Bethany Hospital, Shillong.
