Lapang meets AICC bosses

SHILLONG: MPCC chief D.D. Lapang who arrived in Delhi on Monday met AICC general secretary in charge Meghalaya, V. Narayanasamy, and others to discuss the       political situation in the State following the tussle between Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and the Chief Executive Member P.N. Syiem over the dual post issue.
“The PCC president met me and we discussed general issues concerning the State,” Narayanasamy said over from Delhi on Monday when asked about the agenda of the meeting.
Asked about the solution to the issue of dual post, the AICC leader said the matter will be sorted out internally.
He also said the KHADC chief had spoken to him after the high command wanted him to be in Delhi for discussions.
The AICC leader informed that the MPCC president had sought an appointment with Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday.
