JOWAI: Two houses were completely damaged at Wahiajer village under Narpuh Elaka in East Jaintia Hills following a storm accompanied with heavy rain on Tuesday morning.
The two houses belong to Engina Nongpluh and Istina Nonpluh.
Village headman, Siberen Sumer, informed that the houses were damaged when a high speed wind lasting not more than two minutes hit the village. Heavy rainfall is said to have occurred for almost half an hour.
