DEHRADUN: The Khasi Students’ Union’s unit in the north Indian hill city organised ‘Freshers’ Meet Cum Get-together 2016’ last Sunday.
Prominent Khasi student leaders like Simon Kharsohtun and Smyle Iona, president and organising secretary of KSU’s Delhi unit, and Supreme Court lawyer Daniel Stone Lyngdoh were present at the occasion. More than 200 students participated in the programme, which had events focusing on the indigenous culture and heritage.
Lyngdoh said there is a need to look back to the past culture and identity and believe in them.
