NONGSTOIN: After a false assurance made by the Executive Engineer of Meghalaya Energy Electricity Corporation Ltd. to change the timing of load sheddings, the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), Nongstoin Circle on Wednesday issued a one-week deadline to the concerned department to shift the load shedding timings.
The General Secretary of the KSU Nongstoin Circle Franklin Syiemiong reminded the Executive   Engineer of the MeECL, E.N.Kharbuli about the issue during the last visit of the KSU.
“He has assured that the timings of the load shedding will be rescheduled” Franklin said
Franklin also stated that the union was previously content with the recent assurance from the MeECL but on having seen no changes in the timings after two weeks,  the union deided to take up the matter with the Executive Engineer of the Corporation once again.
The Union slammed the concerned department for not respecting the discussion that they had.
