MPCC observes Nehru birth anniv

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) observed the 127th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, at Congress Bhawan, Thana Road here on Monday.
The programme was chaired by MPCC working president James S. Lyngdoh.
Office bearers of MPCC, chiefs of frontal organizations and members the leaders and members of the DCCs and the members and supporters of the party attended the meeting.
The programme started with the lighting of the lamp and offering of floral tribute before the portrait of Pandit Nehru.
All members present in the meeting paid glowing tributes to the country’s first prime minister.
