Beef ban claim an election gimmick of Cong: Boro

SHILLONG: BJP leader from Garo Hills K. C Boro said that there is no ban on beef in Meghalaya, and the propaganda being spread by non-BJP parties, especially Congress, is politically motivated.
“People are not fools. They know that when the election is over, these issues raked by the opposition parties will be over,” he said.
Stating as false the report of 5000 party workers leaving the saffron party in Garo Hills, Boro said, “Leave alone 5,000, not even five workers left the party, as we know that only two BJP functionaries left”.
According to Boro, 60 years of Congress rule did not bring any desired result and added that within 3 years, as many as 107 projects were launched by the BJP government at the Centre.
