NGT violation
On August 22 at around 8.58 am, police detected one coal laden truck driven by Gisterly Talang, while transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Mawryngkneng, Shillong By-pass (EKH).

Theft
On August 22 at around 6.30 am, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of Oliver Diengdoh at Riat Laban and stole cash of Rs 2,000 and other items valued around Rs 20,000. On the same day around 10.30 pm, residents of Lumshyiap, Nongmensong apprehended one Pynskhem Sohkhlet (22) while he was trying to sell stolen car stereo systems and handed him over to Police. Police arrested the accused and recovered three car stereo systems from his possession.
On the night of August 21, unknown miscreants stole cash of Rs 26,000 from the room of the Principal of St. Anthony’s HS School, Pynursla (EKH).

Seized
On August 22 at around 8.50 pm police raided the house of Jeffry Shylla (27) at Laitumkhrah Police point and recovered 0.36 grams of suspected heroin from his possession.
