Mission Indradhanush launched in SGH

TURA: South Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner S N Marak on Tuesday urged the people of the district to avail of the different government schemes which have been launched for their benefit.

Sangma was speaking during the launching of Mission Indradhanush, the flagship programme of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan under Health and Family Welfare Department where she urged people to take advantage of schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana, Unnat Jyoti by Affordable Led for All (UJALA) Pradhan Mantri Ujala Yojana (PMUY) including Mission Indradhanush.

Informing that immunization services are available free of cost at every PHC, Sub-centre and even at Anganwadi centres during VHND Days at village level, she appealed to people to immunize their children to protect them from preventable diseases as well as for pregnant mothers to get two doses of TT injections.

Earlier, DM&HO, Dr Lily Sengme Marak informed the gathering the objective of the program and highlighted the importance of timely and complete immunization of children and pregnant mothers.
