Interaction held on IPR and future of media in India city

SHILLONG: The Media Club, an extension unit of Department of Mass Media, St. Anthony’s college in collaboration with Crystal India Foundation organised an interactive session on the topics “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and the Future of Media and Journalism in India”   on Saturday.

V .N. Sehgal, the former CBI director (Forensic) was the key speaker of the session. It may be mentioned that Sehgal has over 200 scientific publications to his credit and has worked extensively on different fields of Forensic science including bank frauds, signature forgeries and document frauds.

He shared his many experiences of crimes, investigations and role of journalists.

Gyan Prakash, Senior Journalist, National President, Indian Journalist Compendium (IJC) also highlighted upon the future of Journalism and Media in India.

Through his  several years of reporting parliament sessions , he encouraged students towards political stories and talked about nuances of political reporting.
