SHILLONG: The Mandal president of BJP, Selsella LA (ST) constituency, West Garo Hills, Bholanath Koch, has resigned from the post and the party.
In a statement on Tuesday, he said he had tendered his resignation on March 24 in protest against the party delaying giving the ticket and then giving it to a “wrong candidate.”
He said he would now support the Congress candidates in the Lok Sabha election to the Tura seat and the by-election to Selsella Assembly seat in the interest of the people of Garo Hills districts.
