Husband of ‘drowned’ woman missing, police suspect murder

TURA: The husband of a woman, whose body was found floating in Bhaitbari area on Thursday evening, has gone missing from his home fuelling suspicion of murder and his involvement in it.
Narjina Begum, a resident of Rajpur village in Bhaitbari, was last seen walking alone near the riverside, a day earlier. Her husband Mominur Islam has since disappeared.
When police arrived at their home, they found the place locked from outside.
Meanwhile, the parents of the victim have filed a police complaint accusing the missing husband of her murder.
Police have launched a search to bring him in for questioning over the circumstances leading to the death of his wife.
