Colonel J Ali Road, Lamb Road  declared containment zone in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Kamrup Metropolitan district administration has declared containment zone along Colonel J Ali Road in Panbazar in extension of already notified containment zone covering Arihan Apartment in the area.

An official communiqué today informed that in view of detection of more COVID19 positive persons in the area, all shops and business establishments located on Colonel J Ali Road till  Rail Gate No. 2 at Lakhtokia have been barred from opening for the next seven days with effect from today, June 11, 2020.

The order issued by the administration warned that any violation of the order will attract penal provisions under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the Assam COVID-19 Regulations, 2020.

Meanwhile, Lamb Road area along with S K Bhuyan Road in Ambari area in  the heart of Guwahati city have been declared containment zone too after detection of COVID-19 positive cases.
