MP apprised of govt’s ‘apathy’ towards Seng Khasi institutions

SHILLONG, May 8: The Seng Khasi Forum of Un-Aided Schools Meghalaya, in a memorandum to the Rajya Sabha member Prof. Rakesh Sinha, apprised the latter about the alleged denial of the state government to provide financial assistance to the microscopic indigenous faith institution of Niam Khasi despite the concern authority being approached on many occasions.
The representative of the Seng Khasi Un-Aided Schools had also informed the MP about the deprivation of various grants and schemes, especially financial assistance like inclusion of Seng Khasi institution under SSA, RMSA, Ad hoc, Deficit grants, albeit some of this institutions being in inexistence fory more than 15-20 years.
Sinha has promised to take up the issues of the Seng Khasi Un-Aided Schools with the state government and the central government, according to a statement issued here.
