IIM Shillong holds Commencement Ceremony

SHILLONG, June 30: In what has been dubbed as the first physical-mode event of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong since the lockdown, the institute hosted the commencement ceremony which was attended by 309 participants from postgraduate programme (PGP) in management (2022–24), five PhD, and 11 PhD Working Professionals, who were honoured during the interim session.
Speaking as the chief guest of the programme, chairman of BW Business World and Editor-in-Chief Anurag Batra apprised students about pursuing entrepreneurship by sharing his previous academic and professional experiences.
Addressing the graduates, the first Director of IIM Shillong Prof Ashoke K Dutta explained the importance of clinical research.
Moreover, he guided the graduates to start with a company, be lifelong learners, astute observers, and be passionate about solving societal challenges while sharing his personal experiences for them to relate to.
