State to submit details in HC on custodial deaths after 3 weeks

SHILLONG, Nov 14: The state has sought three weeks’ time from the High Court of Meghalaya to furnish details with regard to custodial deaths and also deaths of inmates in correctional homes due to COVID-19.
The court has asked the state to furnish such details by way of an affidavit to be filed within three weeks from the date, while adding that copies of the affidavit should be made over to Dr Mozika, Amicus Curiae, and any other person represented in the present proceedings.
The matter will appear a working week thereafter, the court said.
