Shillong, November 13: ‘Kaala Paani,’ featuring Ashutosh Gowariker and Amey Wagh, secures renewal for a second season on Netflix.
As per IANS, the first season included a cast comprising Mona Singh, Sukant Goel, Vikas Kumar, Arushi Sharma, Radhika Mehrotra, Chinmay Mandlekar, and Poornima Indrajith, among others.
Sameer Saxena, the show’s Executive Producer, Showrunner, and Director, emphasized the series’ impact on ecological discussions and expressed enthusiasm for continuing the characters’ journeys in Season 2.
Tanya Bami, Netflix India’s Series Head, acknowledged the overwhelming reception of ‘Kaala Paani’ and the rewarding venture into the survival-drama genre in India. The renewal, led by Sameer, Biswa, and Amit, promises another captivating installment set in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The Netflix show, helmed by Sameer Saxena and Amit Golani, boasts a writing team including Biswapati Sarkar, Amit Golani, Sandeep Saket, and Nimisha Misra.
