Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal T20 Trophy 2023

Shillong, Nov 12: In a significant recognition of their cricketing prowess, three talented cricketers from Meghalaya have earned their spots to represent the North East Zone team at the upcoming Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal T20 Trophy 2023. Scheduled to take place from November 24 to December 4, the tournament is set to unfold in Lucknow.
The Zonal Selection Committee, after meticulous discussions and thorough scrutiny of player statistics in BCCI tournaments spanning 2022-23 and 2023-24, finalized the 15-member squad.
The North East Zone team, led by these selected players, will kick off their campaign against the North Zone.
The trio from Meghalaya making their mark in the squad are Riticia Nongbet, Luiza Tamang, and Debasmita Dutta, who also earns the distinction of being the team’s Vice-Captain. Their inclusion is a testament to their consistent performances and commitment to the sport.
Adding to the talent pool, Ajima Sangma has been named among the standbys, ready to step in if needed. Meanwhile, Baiahun Mylliemngap will take on the role of Team Manager, providing valuable support to the players.
As the Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal T20 Trophy approaches, cricket enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the dynamic performances and contributions that these Meghalaya cricketers will bring to the North East Zone team, aiming to make a lasting impact in the upcoming tournament.
