Shillong, June 9: Sandeep Sharma from Meghalaya, India, has made both his state and the nation proud by winning a bronze medal in the 80 kg weight category at the Kettlebell World Championships.
The event which is underway in Rzeszów, Poland, from June 6 to June 9, 2024.
Sharma competed in the Snatch event, where Ukraine secured the first place and Israel took second. Sharma, a renowned Kettlebell athlete and certified instructor, has consistently showcased his prowess in the sport. Prior to this achievement, he won a gold medal at the WKSF Kettlebell Asia Championships held in Mumbai in December 2023, where he set a record with 94 reps in the 10-minute 24kg Snatch event.
